The chest upon arrival in pieces, and unfinished attempts at a DIY project.
After assessing the restorative work involved, I started by clamping a maple support beam
across the top to hold the upper half together. The clamps at different pressures were kept in place for 24 hours.
Next were the horizontal clamps to provide a true frame for all the drawers.
The finished project. Refurbishing and replacing the original drawer pulls. A fine looking heirloom chest, and a very happy client. If you have a project like this, please give me a call.
